The new Jetta TDI is quicker, sportier and handles much better than hybrids, all while getting almost the same mileage. VW had it independently tested under real-world driving conditions and got aprox 31 mpg city and 43 mpg highway. It features a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine that produces 140 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 60 in 8.2 seconds.
